All toads, all the time

Capturing their magic

Toads eat the bugs that bug you. They aerate the soil when they burrow. They are absolutely adorable. They have neither claws nor teeth. They have parotid glands located near their ears. They live on every continent except Antarctica. They are a “canary in the coal mine” species in that they are highly vulnerable to the effects of climate change. A toad once lived under a porch in England for over thirty years. It is the male midwife toad who cares for the young.

You cannot get warts from touching toads. You should not want a toad to turn into a prince when you kiss it. A toad is superior to a prince as it is.
